They obviously have to take in some kind of “profit”, in order to pay their employees (who I’ve heard have fairly reasonable incomes; they’re not always made up of people just donating their time), along with rent and most other things a business needs. So what makes it “non-profit”? And what are the differences between a regular organization and a “non-profit” organization? “Non profits” usually seem to be trying to “help” people, like some kind of charity service. And I’ve seen non-profits simply be charity/donation, and I’ve also seen them sell things to take in money. So, does it simply mean that nobody pockets any money it takes?
